As a form of concern for environmental sustainability, PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Tbk through its subsidiary, PT Palapa Timur Telematika (PTT), is organizing a marine conservation program in collaboration with the Cenderawasih Bay National Park Center and the women's group "Mama Ira". This activity includes coral reef transplantation on Apimasum Island and turtle release in Isenebuai Village, West Papua.
In its implementation, as many as 100 spider web-shaped transplant nets, each containing 10 to 15 coral reef seedlings, were released in waters experiencing ecosystem degradation due to natural factors and human activities. This effort complements similar initiatives that have been carried out since 2021, so that the total rehabilitation area now reaches 240 square meters.
Not only that, as many as 60 relocated turtles were also released as part of a collaboration with local community groups who care about preserving marine ecosystems. This activity was also supported by the women's group "Mama Ira" who has been actively involved in coastal protection.
Through this activity, PT Mora Telematika and PTT hope to contribute to efforts to preserve the marine environment while encouraging positive synergy between the community, government, and the private sector to maintain Indonesia's rich and diverse ecosystem.
